Colorado UFO sighting of strange craft over mountains, May 21, 2011 photos.

Colorado UFO sighting of strange craft over mountains, May 21, 2011 photos.

Date of sighting: May 21, 2011
Location of sighting: Falcon, Colorado, USA

Eyewitness states:

"Saturday afternoon, nearly at 1200, I stepped out into the back yard to take a panoramic photo of the mountains. I don't take many scenic pictures, however after looking out the window to the west, i decided to get the camera. The photo included with this report is a panoramic frame using three separate photos taken moments apart. In my mind that rules out a defect/debris on the lens (otherwise it would appear three times)."

"My camera is a Fujifilm finepix S1000 fd. It was mounted on a tripod at 12x optical zoom, and 3mb resolution. This photo was uploaded to Facebook, and several of my family and friends "liked" it, or commented. Sunday evening I was taking a second look at the picture when it became apparent that the screen on my computer was in need of a cleaning. That is when I detected the black spot on the right side of the frame. I could not identify the object in the picture. After magnifying the object on my screen it became clear to me that I was looking at something with a defined shape, but nothing familiar to me. We do see some air traffic here in the Colorado springs area, and I was an aviation ordinance man in the marine corps. So, I'm good at aircraft identification. This object does not appear to me to be a bird, or aircraft, so i have decided to report it as "unidentified", and "flying"

"note: At no time did I detect this with my naked eye, and did not discover it in the the photo until a day later."

UFO Sighing over Denver, Colorado using night vision, April 28, 2011, video.

Sighting date: April 28, 2011
Location: Denver, Colorado

Eyewitness states:

"Today has been a very good night, for UFO's flying overhead here in south Denver. This looks like a formation of geese at first or migratory birds, however if you look very carefully you can see that these objects keep perfect symmetry in their flight formation and as geese and other birds jockey for a position it is really easy to tell. This clip is very long as these objects where very high and where flying at a very fast rate. It was also very dark as there was no Moon. This was recorded on the 28 April 2011 at 11:45 p.m. the objects where flying from the West to the East."

"The device that was used to record was made by Xenonics, Supervision a starlight amplifier that amplifies light and allows you to see a very dark sky, it's like daylight, except you can see all stars. This was recorded by a Casio camera Exilim DSLR HD format."

2ND Video of UFO Sighting in Colorado, March 21, 2011, CLOSE UP VIEW.

2ND Video of UFO Sighting in Colorado, March 21, 2011, CLOSE UP VIEW.

(Part Two) Closer view of the UFOs above Denver, Colorado. They moved very slowly in a triangular formation across the sky then disappeared one at a time. We were in Lafayette, CO in my cousin's backyard facing west. The lights appeared to be approximately 3000-6000 feet high, coming from the West-Southwest and moving to the southeast. When they disappeared, they seemed to be directly over Denver. I was only visiting on my vacation, so I am not positive about the exact location or direction we were facing, but I am sure we were looking towards the west. We viewed the lights for approximately 15-20 minutes before they disappeared.

Strange red lights: UFOs in sky over Boulder Co.?
LAFAYETTE, Colo. -- A man in Lafayette shot some video this week that he thinks may show some UFOs in the sky over Boulder County.

Leroy Vandervegt's son, Nick, saw three red objects in a kind of triangular formation Monday night (March 21) at about 8:30 pm, so Leroy got out his video camera and shot them to record what the both of them were seeing.

Note: Glowing orbs changed color to red at same time.

"I don't know what they are," Leroy Vandervegt told the Boulder Daily Camera. "All I know is that I had no idea what it is. It wasn't a satellite; it wasn't an airplane; and it wasn't a helicopter."

He says the three lights moved slowly and they didn't blink. They stayed in a triangular formation, but the shape of the triangle changed.

Officials at Denver International Airport didn't have any comment about the lights.

A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration says his staff didn't see anything out of the ordinary that night.

Leroy posted his video on YouTube, and it has received several thousand hits so far.

There were reports of the same sighting from at least three other people.

One commenter on YouTube says that while he wants proof as bad as everyone else, he believes the three red lights are hot air candle balloons.

Doug Wilson, Colorado state director for the Greeley-based Mutual UFO Network, which works to learn the origins of UFO phenomenon, told the Camera it's unusual to receive multiple reports of the same sighting.

His group planned to send investigators to the scene.

Georgia Bulldogs: Aaron Murray Is The Starting QB—No Question

There will always be naysayers where Aaron Murray is concerned, but those people obviously didn't see how well Murray played in 2010. The redshirt freshman showed poise beyond his years and showcased a bevy of skills that even the coaching staff could not have expected.

So, when this article was published, questioning whether or not Georgia should "sit or start" Murray in 2011, I found myself intrigued as to what a non-Bulldog fan had to say on the subject. Below are the only two reasons this writer has for sitting the tough, young man from Tampa.
#1. Lack of Size

Murray measures in at 6'1" and 209 pounds. He needs to add a little weight to help endure some of the sacks he takes. Murray was sacked 24 times and suffered a number of hits during the 2010 season. Until the Georgia Bulldogs' offensive line improves, Murray should expect to have pass-rushers in his face at times.

His lack of height also occasionally leads to passes batted down at the line of scrimmage.

Okay, it's true that Murray is not the prototypical height and size of a pro-style quarterback, but that is not the only characteristic that goes into a quality starter.

There are plenty of 6'3", 225 lb, signal-callers that don't have the poise, pocket presence, or leadership ability that Murray displays on the football field and those are the intangibles that matter—every bit as much as the physical attributes.

Oh and, FYI, the nation's leading passer last season was shorter than Murray—Bryan Moniz. It also seems safe to assume that Boise State wouldn't trade their quarterback for  all the tea in China either. Kellen Moore clocks in at 6'0".

The point is, size doesn't always matter.

Furthermore, his lack of body weight is less important, where sacks are concerned, than Georgia's need to get their offensive line in order.

Murray didn't miss one game last season, despite being knocked on his backside better than 20 times. Even more, the anemic running game, the absence of playmakers in the receiving game (particularly in A.J. Green's absence), and the inability of the coaches to loosen the reigns as the season progressed, all played a hefty roll in Murray's inability to succeed in the win-loss column.

#2. Record
Murray was only able to produce a 6-7 record on the year and 3-5 record in Southeastern Conference play. While Murray's performances were decent, he wasn't able to lead the team to a winning record.

The fact that Murray was unable to "lead the team to a winning record" wasn't all on him. Poor playcalling, unfortunate turnovers, and defensive lapses in the secondary played key roles in losses at South Carolina, at Mississippi State, at Colorado, at Florida, and versus Arkansas—only one of those losses could, arguably, be attributed to Murray's play—he threw an ill-advised interception against Florida that led to the game-winning play in overtime.

If Georgia had taken care of business, on both sides of the ball in every one of those games, that 6-7 record might easily have been 10-3 or 11-2 (7-1 or 6-2 in the SEC).

Murray's lack of a winning record isn't all on him and there is no question that 2011 should be better for the Georgia Bulldogs—if Mark Richt and his staff can right the ship on both sides of the football field.

NFL Trade Bait: Where Might Kyle Orton Land in 2011?

The Denver Broncos are ready to start the Tim Tebow era in Colorado, and that means they no longer have any use for Kyle Orton. Their price for the team that wants him, a second-round draft pick and that price seems steep when you consider the fact that Orton doesn't do any one thing great.

While he's an adept passer, he lacks any type of mobility in the pocket—so he's often at risk of being sacked...a lot.

He's got great instincts in the redzone, but he can be hit or miss outside the 20's.

His ability to find the open target, and hit him in stride is pretty good, but he's every bit as likely to play it safe and rely on making the short throws all game long. Which, after a while will be sniffed out by opposing defenses—allowing them to cheat up and break-up many a pass play.

Even with all that, though, his 2010 stats were still better than you might have guessed.

He ranked in the upper half of the league in nearly every conceivable passers category—including total yards (3,653), interceptions thrown (4), yards gained per attempt, quarterback rating (87.5), and completions. His problem this year was a lack of protection by the offensive line.

Orton routinely found himself running for his life—which isn't his strong suit—and that meant a lot of yards lost due to bad sacks, and an inability to get out of his own way.

If a team can give Orton a decent line and a more consistent running game, he can be a serviceable quarterback and there are plenty of teams out there that could use him as a good insurance policy against injury or as a possible stop-gap until a more favorable alternative can be acquired.

Tennessee, Arizona, Carolina, Washington, and Miami all come to mind as possibilities as each of them have issues at the quarterback position— all could do much worse than Orton.

Denver isn't likely to get their second-round asking price but, if they're willing to bend—perhaps a third-rounder will suffice—they should have no problem finding a new home for Orton.

UFO Sighting News, UFOs Over Parker, Colorado, USA Nov 21, 2010, Photos here.

According to eyewitness "It was still light out but the sun had just begun to set and I was driving home. I saw a bright light in the sky above the trees in my neighborhood.

I pulled over and started taking close up pictures thinking it was Mars. When I zoomed out I saw three bright lights in formation and hovering. Then another white light rose from the horizon with two smaller lights.

All orb shaped and bright. They stayed in the same place for several minutes and then slowly left one at a time following each other.

As they changed direction I could see the front had two bright white lights and the back two red lights. In continuous shot mode I finally got a close up of the last craft as it was moving away. I then thought "Got ya". Don't know what it is but I got a picture of it and two short videos of them hovering. It looks like a small Star Ship Enterprise.

CFB Rumor Mill: Kill The Noise, Mark Richt Isn't Headed to Miami Either

Here we go again, more rumors surrounding the head coach at the University of Georgia. You know, for a guy who no one really likes all that much, Mark Richt sure seems to be on a lot of "wish lists" lately.

First he was tabbed as a possibility at Colorado. However, his big salary at Georgia nipped that rumor quickly in the bud.

Now, his name is being floated about for the, newly vacated, Miami Hurricanes coaching position. Randy Shannon was fired late yesterday—shortly after the Canes' lost to South Florida in overtime.

Richt is a Miami alumnus. He played quarterback there from 1979-82, backing up future NFL Hall of Famer, Jim Kelly.

Some feel he is the perfect guy to get Miami back to it's winning ways, but someone needs to let Georgia AD, Greg McGarity, in on the conversation because, as far as he's concerned, Richt will be calling Athens home through, at least, the 2011 football season.

These rumors are just that—rumors. Mark Richt is still the coach at Georgia, and he isn't assumed to be going anywhere. He's planning on being in Athens for as long as the university will have him and he's made it very clear that Georgia is his "home".

So, why all the speculation and rumor-mongering about him being lured to go elsewhere? Well, that's easy, teams will try to go after the best out there, regardless of their current situation. Tommy Tuberville's name has also surfaced as a possibility, and he's only been at Texas Tech for one season.

This is a lot less about Richt's job at Georgia being in jeopardy, than it is about a school (Miami) planning for its future.

Don't believe the hype, folks, there's simply not much to it.

Georgia Bulldogs Football: The Mark Richt to Colorado Reports Are Complete Nonsense

Apparently, Georgia head coach, Mark Richt, along with current ESPN analyst (and former Oregon Duck head coach) Mike Belloti, are considered front-runners for the vacant head coach position at Colorado.

CBSSports' Dennis Dodd, as well as the "Insider" page at ESPN (which, to be honest, is just a glorified message board for anything that a troll can come up with) are both running with the possibility.

However, even the Colorado press is taking the story with a grain of sand.

According to John Henderson of The Denver Post, "Richt isn't believed to be in danger of losing his job, but a source said he may be tired of the SEC's pressure cooker and could seek a change in scenery. Richt lived in Broomfield for part of his youth."
The article goes on to say that Colorado isn't willing to go over $2 million per season, no matter who they hire—Richt makes $2.8 million in salary (not to mention the compensation he receives for his endeavors outside of coaching).

Unless Richt loses his final two games this year—particularly the one to Georgia Tech (who is likely to be without star quarterback, Josh Nesbitt, when the two teams meet on Thanksgiving weekend)—there is little reason to believe that he will be fired at the end of the 2010 season.
Even more, if Colorado has any designs on Richt, they certainly haven't let the University of Georgia's AD, Greg McGarity, know anything about it. McGarity said the interest was news to him and, as late as this posting, no one in his office has been contacted about the possibility of speaking to coach Richt about the position—go figure.
Mark Richt isn't going anywhere—yet. And, honestly, Colorado is likely looking to lock down a head coach much sooner than Richt would be able to commit (assuming he were even interested, which is doubtful).

Georgia Bulldogs Football: What's Been The Biggest Difference In Bulldogs' Wins?

To say that Georgia has played well over the last two weeks would be an understatement. This team has not only played well, they have played better than expected—especially when considering the mistakes and miscues of the previous four weeks that led up to this current streak.

Their success has caused some fans to let down their guards and start wondering what might have been.

You know that game well if you're a college football fan. You start revisiting all the games your team has played, and you begin asking questions about the key moments within each that could have changed that "L" to a "W".

Georgia fans are no different in that regard. In the wake of such above-average play, many have already started to play that exact game in regards to this season: "what if the team had played this well at Colorado", "what if the defense was this proficient against Arkansas", "what if the offense was clicking this well in Starkville"...the Dawgs' could be 6-1 right now—right?

Well, the danger in playing the "what if" game is that it can cloud perspective, and there's too much football left to play for any one to start expecting greatness from here on out.

The talk of tie-breakers, SEC Championship possibilities, and bowl games, is irrelevant and, quite frankly, premature right now with Georgia only sitting at 3-4.

So, here's what's real:  Georgia has a two-game winning streak on the line as they head to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats.

That's it.

They need to win that game first and then see what happens the next week—one game at a time.

That said, there is no harm in discussing the things that have made Georgia look so different the last two weeks.

What have been some of the keys to their sudden surge:

1. The defense has not allowed the opposition to score first.

When an offense can score on their opening drive, it fires up their defense—period. It's not rocket science.

Georgia's defense gave up the first points of a game to their opponent in every loss they've had this season. The last two games saw the opposite happen and that's helped build momentum on both sides of the ball.

2. The return of A.J. Green.

The impact of A.J. Green cannot be understated. Even if he's used solely as a decoy (which he seemed to be for much of last week), he draws a lot of attention. That opens up the other receivers and gives Aaron Murray more options in the passing game.

3. The running game has improved.

Both Caleb King (who played well against Tennessee, but will sit out, at least, one more week) and Washaun Ealey are healthy and running well. Ealey topped the 100-yard mark for the first time this season, and Carlton Thomas is finding ways to make a contribution on offense—scoring twice last week.

A better running game has meant a more efficiently run offense.

4. The offensive line has improved.

The re-congfigured line has made Aaron Murray's job easier.  He has not been flushed from the pocket as much and he seems to have more time to go through his progressions than did earlier in the year.

Trinton Sturdivant (LT) has looked more confident each week and Kenarious Gates (RG) has played well since being inserted into the starting lineup.

5. More fire!

During the losing stretch, the team appeared lackadaisical and sluggish. At times they showed flashes of life but, mostly, they looked defeated towards the end of games. It was as if they had no more fight left. Nowhere was this more evident than in the game against Colorado.

The team rallied around A.J. Green as he made his glorious return, but, once he left with cramping, they fell back into mediocrity—on offense and defense.

However, over the last two games, they look more focused, more organized, and more confident—particularly on defense—and that has translated into less mistakes and more big plays on both sides of the ball.

The BIGGEST DIFFERENCE:

Confidence. The team finally looks like they are on the same page with the coaching staff.

The defense has given up a few plays here and there, but their tackling is better, their coverage schemes look crisper, and their grasp on the defense looks more sound.

As for the offense, Aaron Murray looks more and more comfortable every week, and he seems more determined to prove that A.J. Green is not the only weapon this offense has on the field. In recent weeks, Tavares King, Aron White, and Orson Charles, have all seen their jersey called on key downs. And, who can speak loudly enough about the contribution Kris Durham has made?

It's tough to say how much of this play will continue once the team leaves the friendly confines of Sanford Stadium, but, it certainly has been fun to watch and, hopefully, that trend continues the rest of the way.

College Football Betting Odds: 10 ATS Picks For Saturday (10/9)

The Lady had a terrible run of luck, missing on all but two picks last week. The finally tally once all the days picks were in came up to a disgustingly awful 2-8—ugh.

As of now, this season's record stands at a horrendous 22-23. But, alas, there are another round of picks coming this week and, hopefully, this time the Lady sees a touch more luck.

Take a gander at the disaster that was last week here—if you dare. Otherwise, let's move on to the next slate of games:

(All lines courtesy of VegasInsider.com)

1. Georgia vs. Tennessee: Georgia (-10.5)

This line was as large as -13 early on this week, but now has regressed to a more respectable 10.5 points—favoring the Georgia Bulldogs. After losses to both Mississippi State and Colorado, it's difficult to imagine that this team is capable of beating any one by more than a touchdown.

The Lady's Pick: Tennessee

2. Air Force vs Colorado State: Air Force (-26.5)

Air Force is better than Colorado State. There is no denying that and the Falcons will utilize their rushing attack to steam roll the Rams for the better part of this contest. That said, as bad as Colorado State is this season, they still aren't awful enough to lose by this many points.

The Lady's Pick: Colorado State

3. Florida vs LSU: Florida (-9)

It makes no difference whether or not Jarrett Lee or Jordan Jefferson plays at quarterback this weekend, LSU is not a good team and they will not win this game. Even still, the Tigers defense is stout enough to keep them in the game and make this match-up close.

The Lady's Pick: LSU

4. Texas Tech vs Baylor: Texas Tech (-3)

This is the same Texas Tech team that allowed Iowa State to put up 52 points, right? Home field advantage or not, Robert Griffin has made fools out of just about every opponent his team has played this season—and there is little reason to believe that streak will stop here.

The Lady's Pick: Baylor

5. Arkansas vs Texas A&M: Arkansas (-7.5)

The Razorbacks have too many weapons and Ryan Mallett has a chip on his shoulder after giving the game away to the Tide two weeks ago. Expect the Aggies to bear the brunt of his anger.

The Lady's Pick: Arkansas

6. Nevada vs San Jose State: Nevada (-38)

San Jose State has a ton of trouble scoring points but, last years match-up aside (Nevada won by 55 in 2009), this is a game that is usually a lot closer than 38 points. Prior to 2008's thrashing, the biggest win deficit the Wolfpack have had over the Spartans, in the last six seasons, is 24.

The Lady's Pick: San Jose State

7.  Houston vs Mississippi State: Pick Em' (PK)

Houston is not the same team without Case Keenum and there should be a ton of doubt about their ability to win this game against the Bulldogs. The Cougars have a horrific run defense and the Bulldogs are more than willing to win this game via time of possession—keep the Cougars off the field and there is little else about them that is intimidating.

The Lady's Pick: Mississippi State

8. Stanford vs Southern California: Stanford (-7)

The Cardinals were rolling along just fine before the Ducks spoiled their undefeated party. To their credit, they made a game of it early before Oregon took over—as they have done all season long. This week, Stanford gets to settle onto their home field to face a USC team that, suddenly, no one is afraid of.

The Lady's Pick: Stanford

9. Alabama vs South Carolina: Alabama (-10)

South Carolina is much better than advertised and they have had a whole week to get ready to face the Crimson Tide who, coming off a blowout of the Florida Gators could get caught sleeping a little bit too comfortably. The Tide should win this one, but the Gamecocks won't be rolling over at home.

The Lady's Pick: South Carolina

10. Kentucky vs Auburn: Auburn (-6.5)

This could be considered a trap game, except for the fact that Cameron Newton has been playing out of his head and Kentucky seems to have a lot of trouble stopping the run.

The Lady's Pick: Auburn
