Tiki Barber: Seriously, Dude?...

Tiki Barber is obviously desperate for dollars, but he might need to try getting paid another way—I hear reality television is a good racket for douchebags like Mr. Barber, but he may be too tawdry even for their ranks.

Barber, who reportedly filed his un-retirement papers on yesterday, is looking for a little NFL love at 35. Unfortunately for him, there isn't likely to be a huge market for an old (by NFL standards), down on his luck, running back who hasn't played in more than four-years.

Perhaps Barber saw how well the story seems to have ended for Michael Vick and decided to see if he could rehab his reputation, and public image as well, while making a few dollars for his emptied pockets. However, something tells me, he'd have a better shot at making pigs fly than making a memorable comeback.

His tendency towards flaming coaches and teammates as a broadcaster didn't endear him to many and, quite frankly, his arrogance isn't as interesting as Chad OchoCinco's—which really isn't saying much.

An NFL comeback, you say?...Yeah, best of luck with that.

NFL Chatter: Tony Romo Throwing Again For The First Time Since Injury

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo did some light throwing on the field before Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions for the first time since breaking his left collarbone in the Week 7 game against the New York Giants. Romo is expected to be out until December.

The Cowboys have seven defeats and just three wins so far this 2010 season, and this is why the Dallas team hasn’t been favored by the NFL odds.

In addition, the New Orleans Saints emerge as the favorites to win the game of next Thursday November 25th against the Cowboys.

The team said Romo wouldn’t need surgery, but would be out six to eight weeks, so he could miss another two games or more. But the good news is that owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Romo threw on the field before Cowboys' 35-19 victory over the Lions.

The 29-year-old quarterback could return in the Dec. 12th game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Otherwise, he could be relegated to the last two games of the season, which could be crucial for the future of interim coach Jason Garrett, who so far is doing well.

For his part, backup Jon Kitna threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score in last Sunday’s game. Also, in the last two games of the Cowboys, Kitna threw for a combined six touchdowns and just one interception.

“He's got a lot of mental toughness, he loves to play the game, and I think we've seen that the past couple of weeks,” interim coach Jason Garrett said.

However, Romo underwent X-rays Monday morning and showed that his left collarbone is still fractured and he remains at least three weeks away from returning, a source told to ESPN Dallas.

"We didn't think an X ray or X rays would help us make this decision," Jones said. "It's going to be how it's feeling."

Kentucky Wildcat QB, Mike Hartline, Gaining Ground As NFL 2011 Draft Prospect

The Kentucky Wildcats offense has been nothing short of explosive this season.

Some might think that was to be expected given the presence of both Randall Cobb and Derrick Locke, but that would be short-changing the above-average job that senior quarterback Mike Hartline has done for the team this year.

Hartline ranks 13th in the nation, 1st in the conference, in passing (2,402 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions)— a surprising feat given the fact that Ryan Mallett, Greg McElroy, and John Brantley were mentioned ahead of Hartline as the conference's top quarterbacks to start the year.

His strong play has started to peak the interest of NFL draft scouts too as his name is moving up on some draft boards as a potential late-round selection in the 2011 draft.

As of now, he is projected as a 6th or 7th round selection and, before you scoff at the notion of that being relevant, recall the sheer number of players who were either drafted beyond the fifth-round, or not at all, yet managed to have great success at the pro level.

The last two Kentucky quarterbacks to be drafted—Jared Lorenzen (who won a Super Bowl with the New York Giants in 2008) and Andre Woodson (drafted in the sixth-round in 2008)—are not currently playing professional football.

Woodson was signed to a contract with the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League (UFL) in summer of 2010, but was later released. Lorenzen is the quarterback's coach at his old high school.
